Our lake provides a fantastic opportunity to take to the water! Whether you are looking to entertain the family, challenge yourself or simply unwind and relax, come and have a go in one of our canoes. They are a brilliant way of exploring our lake and catching a glimpse of the wildlife that surrounds us. Canoes & Paddle boards are free to use and included in your event ticket price!

Our friends at the TinPot Theatre Co. will be back with us in 2022 to stage another enchanting story inspired by our magical woodland landscape. Make your way to the woods for a truly unique immersive theatre experience that will transport you to a hidden realm.

This is tree climbing, on another level! We’ll have fully qualified tree climbing instructors that will fit you out with all the protective equipment and harnesses needed so you can climb higher than ever before. Catch views of the festival like no other, from our 300 year old oak tree! This activity is included in your ticket and can be pre-booked when on site.

Dust off the skates, get those elbow pads on and get boogying! A roller disco like no other, with great live DJ’s, set on a vintage dodgem rink. Roller skating not your thing? Fear not, there’ll be dance lessons, Disco Yoga and much more! Like most of our activities, the Roller Disco is free of charge! Be sure you get there early to secure your skates!

Tucked away deep in the woodland you’ll find the guys from Westcountry Bushcraft living in the sticks. They’ll be teaching and demonstrating essential bushcraft skills. Expect willow weaving, shelter building and caveman fire lighting- all the essentials for a night out in nature! These free sessions are pre-bookable on the day, so follow the signs down into the woods to find them!

Young and old alike can experience the thrills of yesteryear with our lovingly restored vintage fairground rides! Fairground rides are included in your event ticket, so you can have a go as many times as you like!

Roll Up! From tightrope walking, to juggling, stilt walking and more… our circus instructors will be on hand to teach you all you need to know and they’ll even put on a demonstration or two! Watch out for them around the festival, showing off their skills!

Hosted by Tootles & Nibs, board our Stowaway ship and learn how to be the best pirate of the seven seas! Expect water fights, arts & crafts and performances!

Built by kids, for kids (literally), Tinkertown is an adventure playground created by little Stowaways over the duration of the festival. Fully supervised, children and families have the space and freedom to design, build and play as they like with real tools, pallets and scrap timber. Drop in to learn new skills, or simply play inside the structure. Who knows what will be created!

Tootles & Nibs refuses to grow up. With their secret recipe of hubbub, hullaballoo, and brouhaha they create adventures, games, parties, stories, dreams, and treasure hunts. Whether you are looking for storytelling, puppetry, music, or something even more magical, they have a host of delightful shows and characters ready and raring to go.Tootles and Nibs are dedicated to creating immersive theatrical environments to ignite and enthuse young minds and the young at heart.

Keepers of calm, Mortimer Nannies are thrilled to be returning to Stowaway in 2024. Their experienced festival team of fun, creative Nannies and Assistants are hosting ‘stay up late’ sessions for over 2’s each evening in their cosy HQ. The Mortimer Tent will be cosily decked out with fairy lights, comfy beanbags and cushions so the children can snuggle down, listen to a story, play a board game by torchlight or watch a movie. The Mortimer Team is comprised of fully qualified Nannies and DBS checked assistants. With generous adult:child ratios and decades of experience between them, you can relax, pamper or party the night away, safe in the knowledge that your little ones are having an equally wonderful time. Book a session here!    The Mortimer Team will also be offering a festival Nanny service throughout the daytime, should you require a couple of hours to yourself.
