Accessibility Info
We strive to make our events welcoming to everyone and aim to make the event as accessible as possible for all guests. We offer accessible facilities and parking for those who need it. The following information provides details about the accessible provisions at Stowaway Festival. If you have any questions that are not answered below, please contact us.
Please note: our accessible facilities are limited, and we prioritise them for guests with long term disabilities. Therefore, they are not generally available for those with temporary conditions, such as pregnancy or broken limbs.
Site Information
Before booking a ticket, please be aware that Stowaway Festival is hosted on a green-field site, with some tarmac and hardstanding areas. Whilst there are some sheltered areas (marquees, performance spaces), it is mainly an open-air event. Ground conditions are therefore weather dependent (if we experience extreme weather the ground may become muddy), therefore mobility across the site may become compromised.
We do not offer any internal transport due to limitations of moving larger vehicles around the site.
We will be offering the following for disabled customers:
- Dedicated accessible toilet, shower and water facilities within the campsite.
- Dedicated accessible toilet facilities within the event arena.
- Disabled parking (you will need to have your blue badge on display).
- Stewards and medical teams to assist you with any issues that may arise over the weekend.
The campsite benefits from a hard road entrance making wheelchair access from the car park easier. As the festival campsite is located less than 50m from the event arena, all pitches are accessible and dedicated facilities will be located in the campsite. On your arrival, please speak to a steward or member of the festival team who will be able to advise on where best to pitch to suit your needs.
Blue badge holders or those with an access card with the relevant symbols, will be given priority to park at the closest point to the campsite. Please have your blue badge on display as you arrive at the festival. The stewards will be able to direct you to the car park on your arrival.
While we cannot allow pets of any kind into the festival, registered assistance dogs are permitted. If you plan on bringing an assistance dog, please let us know in advance by emailing us hello@stowawayfestival.co.uk with a copy of your Assistance Dog ID Card so we can be adequately prepared for this. We request that the dog is registered with an organisation that is a member of Assistance Dogs UK.
Customers requiring assistance throughout the festival are entitled to apply for one free pass for their Personal Assistant. Personal Assistant tickets are for those with physical/mental difficulties that would prevent them from attending on their own.
Each Personal Assistant ticket is provided on the expectation that your Personal Assistant is willing and able to assist you throughout your visit and would be available and able to help you in the event of an emergency.
Once you have purchased your ticket for the festival, please email us stowaway@kaboodle.co.uk to request your free personal assistance ticket. Within the email, please provide your booking reference and proof of disability.
This can be one of the following:
- Front page of DLA letter
- Attendance Allowance letter
- Receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Evidence of being severely sight impaired
- Access Card – + 1 category requirement
- Recognised Assistance Dog ID Card
All documentation must be dated within the last 12 months or have an indefinite PIP award within the last three years.
By supplying the above information, you consent to Stowaway Festival using the evidence supplied to verify your access requirements
All Personal Assistant Ticket applications must be received before Thursday 1st August 2025 unless sold out earlier.
