Frequently asked questions
This handy list of FAQs should answer any questions you may have about Stowaway Festival. Please read them carefully before getting in touch.
The campsite opens on Friday 16th August at 10:00am. On arrival you’ll be given a wristband which grants access to the event. The festival ends on Monday 19th August at 12:00 noon, and we ask that all festival-goers vacate the camping area by this time at the latest.
We hope you won’t want to, and we try and ensure you won’t need to. However, as you enter the festival you will be issued with a wristband and you will need to show this to re-enter the site if you leave. No re-entry between 23:00 – 08:00.
With so much on across the weekend, we don’t offer day tickets to the festival, as we want to make sure everyone gets to experience all we have to offer. Why not join us for the weekend instead?
Yes there are plenty free water points located around the festival arena and campsite. Just bring a reusable bottle/container to fill up.
Each person is allowed to bring the 12 cans of beer/lager/cider OR 2 plastic bottles of wine. No spirits or glass bottles are allowed. Please remember any personal alcohol brought to the event is only for consumption within the campsite and not the entertainment areas.
We will be operating and enforcing a strict Challenge 25 policy at Stowaway Festival. If you can’t provide valid identification when asked by a member of staff, you will be asked to leave the site and come back with your ID. So if you are lucky enough to look 25 or younger, please make sure that you bring an acceptable form of identification.
Valid forms of ID include:
- An in date photographic driver’s license or provisional licence.
- A valid passport (not a photocopy). Out of date passports will NOT be accepted.
- A Proof of Age Standards Scheme Card (showing the PASS hologram).
We do not have ATM’s on-site. We advise that you bring any cash you need with you. All bars & food traders will take card payments.
All weekend tickets include access to the campsite. We also have boutique camping options and live-in vehicle camping facilities. These are not covered by your weekend tickets, so make sure to purchase your weekend tickets as well as these add-ons. You can find out more about our Glamping options here.
No pets or animals are allowed on site with the exception of registered guide dogs. If you are bringing a registered guide dog to the event, please read more about this in our accessibility section.
Children under the age of two can attend the festival for free. However they will need a ticket, please make sure you select a free ticket at the checkout.
There’s so much going on you won’t need to look at your phone. However, if your phone does run out of juice, we have a limited number of phone charging banks available to purchase at our info point.
If you lose or find anything at the festival, please hand it to a member of staff at any of the bars, or the information point. Any found items will be available to collect until 12:00 on Monday 19th August . Any items not claimed before this time will be available to redeem by contacting us here within 14 days of the event.
The following items are NOT permitted into the festival or the festival campsite. Any person found with any of these prohibited items may have the item(s) removed by a member of the staff:
- Campfires, firewood and fire starters
- All BBQs
- Chinese lanterns
- Drones
- Fireworks
- Gas Cylinders exceeding 15kg
- Generators
- Glass. All liquids must be decanted into plastic containers before arrival. All glass bottles will be removed and disposed of by staff on arrival
- Kites
- Offensive weapons
- Paddling pools / swimming pools / hot tubs etc.
- Radio controlled aircraft / drones / etc.
- Restricted and illegal substances
- Sound systems capable of creating excessive noise
Any and all items that are deemed dangerous, offensive or unsuitable for the safe environment of the festival and campsite.
Admission will be refused to anyone carrying prohibited items, regardless of the tickets carried by the persons concerned and without exceptions.
All of our tickets are sent via email from our official ticketing partner, Kaboodle. Alternatively, you can log into your Kaboodle account online. Your tickets will need to be scanned on the gate. For any ticket queries, contact us.
Stowaway Festival reserves the right to search any/all vehicles and/or persons on arrival. Admission will be refused to anyone carrying prohibited items, regardless of the tickets carried by the persons concerned without refund. Stowaway Festival reserves the right to refuse permission of entry or re-entry to any person(s). No trading/flyering/placing of posters/stickers without prior written consent. The ‘Challenge 25’ policy will be in place across the site and you must be over 18 to bring, buy and consume alcohol on the site. There is a zero tolerance policy to drugs on site.
